Australian Research Alliance for Children and Youth chief executive Penny Dakin was today unveiled as the new executive director of Minderoo's community focus area.
Minderoo Foundation chief executive John Hartman said in a statement Ms Dakin had improved the way that governments and philanthropic organisations worked with communities.
“With her passion for community, ability to build strong connections, and deep experience with systems thinking, Penny is an exciting addition to our Communities Focus Area,” Mr Hartman said.
“Significantly, she recently led the development of the newly launched Investment Dialogue for Australia’s Children, which seeks to align efforts by the Federal Government and Australia’s leading philanthropic foundations, including Minderoo Foundation, to tackle entrenched disadvantage and improve the lives of children, their families and communities.”
Ms Dakin will start in January.
