Over Wednesday February 23 to Friday February 25 the Institute for International Research will hold the second annual MineHaul at the Duxton Hotel in Perth.
The three-day conference will cover how to successfully manage operator fatigue and safety, how to gain real cost benefits through effective equipment selection, innovation in haulage maintenance and monitoring systems and maximising tyre life through new tyre technologies and tyre risk management.
Keynote speakers at the conference include Robe River Mining production superintendent Andy Caruso, ALCOA Willowdale Mine operations manager Mal Briggs, Placer Dome Granny Smith open pit manager Malcolm Titley, Mineral Industry Safety and Health Centre manager health projects Carmel Bofinger, CSIRO Mining Automation project engineer Chad Hargrave, Klinge & Co global risk and business improvement manager Tilman Rasche, Runge Limited mining consultant Peter Forbes, Theiss senior mine planning engineer Shaun Barker, Goodyear Earthmover field manager John Smith, and senior research fellow at the University of South Australia Centre for Sleep Research Angela Baker.
