Anghie replaces Alciaturi at Ernst & Young

Ernst & Young partner Michael Anghie has been appointed head of the firm's WA Transaction Advisory Services practice, after former boss Martin Alciaturi was hired by Macquarie Bank to head its WA corporate finance practice.

Mr Anghie joined Ernst & Young's Perth practice in 2000 and has more than 10 years experience in corporate finance including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, private equity raising and transaction due diligence.

Mr Alciaturi's appointment at Macquarie came after the bank's former corporate finance head Neville Gardiner moved to Merril Lynch, where he was appointed the head of investment banking for natural resources in Australia.

In other corporate finance news, Hugh Thomas has been promoted to head of corporate finance at Deloitte in Perth after the retirement of Tom Henderson.
