Amcom said the strategic acquisition will expand the company's product range into the rapidly expanding enterprise hosted voice solutions market.
Amcom chief executive Clive Stein said: "This is an important acquisition for Amcom, which will enable us to expand our capabilities through IP Systems' highly scalable national voice and data network. The IP Systems solution will provide our customers with a fully converged hosted enterprise voice, data and video solution. Customers will benefit through enhanced operational efficiencies as well as cost savings."
"Through IP Systems' established offices on the East Coast we will now have a national presence to grow our business.
"Additionally, we will be able to offer our existing customers added solutions and gain a larger share of their telecommunications spend," Mr Stein said.
The structure of the acquisition has been specifically designed to align IP Systems' management with all Amcom shareholders and deliver an earnings accretive outcome.
Amcom will be announcing its results for the 2010 financial year on or about 24 August 2010.
