The Department of Housing and Works has issued the contract for the role of Executive Director Procurement on the Fiona Stanley Hospital project to Alan Piper Consulting.
The contract encompasses executive level management of procurement processes, with a particular emphasis on meeting budget and timetable requirements.
The Executive Director Procurement will be a key member of the Project Control Group, within the Fiona Stanley Hospital Project Team.
The assessment of the tender was carried out by an independent evaluation panel comprising senior personnel from the Department of Housing Works, Department of Health, the Public Transport Authority, Main Roads WA and the State Solicitor's Office. An independent consultant probity audit has confirmed that the process was administered fairly and impartially.
The contract has been established on a time charge basis of $275 per hour (including GST), up to a maximum of 1850 chargeable hours per year, over the six-year term of the contract, giving a possible maximum value of approximately $3 million if all hours were claimed. Should the contract be completed in less time, the total cost will be considerably less.
Initially three tenders were received, of which one was withdrawn.
