A LARGE piece of the $90 million budget to supply WA schools with computers has gone to one supplier.

Acer Computer Supplies expects to supply many of the 31,000 computers to WA public schools over the next four years.

EDWA contracts manager IT facilities, technology and tele-communications Tim Yorke said it would give schools a better deal.

Acer Computer Australia’s WA state manager David Figueri said Acer’s strong relationship with EDWA had made it the only manufacturer to obtain status on notebook and desktop panel contracts.
