The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has banned bankrupt bus and coach operator Charles Vernon Marks, of Redcliffe, Western Australia, for the maximum period of five years.
Mr Marks' banning follows an investigation into his involvement in failed companies, International Stage Lines Pty Ltd and National Buslines WA Pty Ltd. ASIC's investigation found that Mr Marks had allowed the companies to trade while insolvent. Further, he failed to assist the liquidator of International Stage Lines Pty Ltd and did not keep proper accounting records in relation to the company.
Mr Marks was one of nine directors to be disqualified from managing corporations by ASIC following their involvement in failed companies.
