Brewing giant Lion Nathan won five awards at the Australian Hotels Association ‘Synergy’ WA Hospitality Supplier Awards.
Lion Nathan won the prize for overall beer supplier of the year, securing both the metropolitan and regional awards in this category, as well as the awards for the best on premises beverage promotion and best new beverage product for its popular Tooheys Extra Dry 5 Seeds Cider.
Foster’s Group’s ‘VB Pop Up Pub’ won the best bottleshop promotion award, while the international brewer also won the regional wine supplier and service provider award. In addition, long-serving national trade relations manager, Neil Grant, was recognised for a lifetime of achievement in the liquor and hospitality sector.
Constellation Wines Australia, the Australian subsidiary of US-based Constellation Brands, won the metropolitan wine supplier and service provider award while Coca-Cola Amatil won two awards –metropolitan spirit supplier and service provider, and regional non-alcoholic beverage supplier and service provider.
AHA (WA) chief executive, Bradley Woods said the awards recognised the delivery of excellence by product and service providers to the state’s hospitality industry.
“The hospitality industry deserves to be rewarded and recognised for outstanding achievement in ensuring the state has great hospitality and tourism services and products,” he said.
“The awards also recognise important relationships between industry and suppliers that maintain jobs, business reputations and strengthen WA’s ability to provide a dynamic, innovative and reliable hospitality sector.”
Other winners included Dardanup Butchering Company and Sealanes, which won the regional and metropolitan food supplier and service
