Perth's 96.FM was the big winner in the latest ratings survey, recording a ratings rise of 1.3 percentage points to 10.4 per cent for its breakfast show with Gary, Fitzi and Aleysha, and an overall jump of 0.8 percentage points.
The station affectionately known as 'Aunty', ABC720, which had been the top rating breakfast station, slipped by 1.8 percentage points to 14.4 per cent, leaving it just behind new market leader MIX94.5.
The popular drive timeslot, between 4 and 7 pm, was dominated by 92.9's Hamish and Andy show, which increased its taking by 1.7 points, achieving a record breaking 23.5 points.
The radio station was the most popular with the 25 to 39 year-old demographic, and also had the most popular website.
Simon Beaumont's 9am to noon segment was the most popular news, talk and sport segment at 9.9 per cent, over Geoff Hutchinson at ABC720, on 9.3 per cent.
