Todd Hutchison has a lengthy list of qualifications and accomplishments to his name.

Currently director at Curtin University’s Centre for Health Informatics, Mr Hutchison holds 15 tertiary qualifications, nine professional licences and certifications, and the titles of full-time executive director and company director on three boards.

His achievements have resulted in an acceptance into the 2005 Leadership WA program. His entrepreneurial and technological skills are diverse due to his extensive experience in a number of industries including IT, telecommunications, engineering, business and defence.

One of Mr Hutchison’s key accomplishments was the establishment last year of AuQUest, a company manufacturing  electronic products for gold detection. He has also successfully delivered a $2.3 million Sun Microsystems project at Curtin University, which replaced the core computing infrastructure for all corporate applications.

In 2002 he joined the Project Management Institute (PMI) and in the following year produced a certification program that became a model for international component operations. This led to Mr Hutchison being awarded a national PMI award and being appointed president last year. In 2001 he was involved in the design of the Sarawak Curtin University campus buildings and laboratories in Malaysia and the development of its electronic laboratory devices. In 1999 Mr Hutchison played a vital role in the establishment of technical processes significantly contributing to business systems at Curtin University’s School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
