When Selina Duncalf joined BankWest as a human resource consultant at the age of 28, she set herself the ambitious goal to join the bank’s senior executive team within five years.
Despite limited experience in the finance and banking industry, Ms Duncalf was appointed to the senior executive team as chief operating officer within two years.
A strong believer that banking is about more than credit and managing risk, Ms Duncalf and her team of 70 people have made great inroads in creating and supporting a sales and service culture within BankWest.
Ms Duncalf was also project manager on BankWest’s ‘Investors in People’ accreditation program.
