MATTHEW COOMBER Pilbara Iron manager, external affairs
Matthew Coomber has been with Rio Tinto since 2001. His main focus of responsibility includes government relations, in particular Western Australian government approvals for Pilbara Iron operations, new developments and expansions.
Before joining Rio Tinto Mr Coomber managed external affairs for the WA Department of Resources Development and before that was a technical/ business journalist in the UK, reporting on the construction industry.
He holds a bachelor of science honours, building (engineering and management), from Brunel University, UK.
