$250m plan to redevelop Perth foreshore

The state government has unveiled plans to connect the Swan River to the Perth CBD area through a redevelopment involving potential cable cars to Kings Park and a 2.8 hectare inlet at an initial cost estimate of at least $250 million.

More questions than solutions. Where will all the sand go that will be removed from the site? Do the planners really believe that Perth will never be affected by floods? Freeway entries have already been disrupted by various "improvements" what impact will this have on traffic flow? In spite of all the talk about tourist attractions it will come to nought if their are no traffic management plans.
