Yirga Gelaw Woldeyes

Dr Yirga Gelaw Woldeyes is a lecturer at the Centre for Human Rights Education at Curtin University and his teaching practice is informed by the importance of indigenous knowledges, diverse cultures, and social and cognitive justice. Originally from Lalibela in Ethiopia, he is also a writer, researcher, lecturer and poet. Dr Gelaw Woldeyes also researches African experiences and Ethiopian traditions, and writes creatively on belonging and diasporic lives.
