Veronica Lawrance

Veronica Lawrance graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Public Relations and a Master of Philosophy (Public Relations) action research degree. Her research focused on culture, change and professionalisation in the non-profit sector. Ms Lawrance has extensive experience in PR/communications in the non-profit, private, corporate and government sectors. She has worked in PR/communication roles for organisations such as HBF (Western Australia’s largest private health insurer), WA Football Commission, the local community (Perth Ramble), and Presbyterian Ladies’ College. Ms Lawrance was a sessional academic at Curtin University in the School of Management (Communication in Business) and the School of Marketing (PR Foundations and PR Techniques). She is the unit coordinator for PR Planning and Evaluation and Cross Cultural Communications. She is also a Justice of the Peace and board member of Advocare WA, a leading non-profit dedicated to the cause of older people and people with disabilities. Ms Lawrance was an ex-local government councillor for the City of South Perth (2010 – 2015) and now sits on the executive board of Borderless Friendships WA. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Public Relations Institute of Australia, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK), the Content Marketing Institute, and the International Public Relations Institute.
