Uwa Airhiavbere has extensive experience working with board level executives in organisations all over the world including startups, Fortune-500 companies and leading energy & mining companies.
Mr Airhiavbere commenced his career with JP Morgan Chase where he worked on investment banking, private banking and treasury matters. He has been the chief commercial officer of worldwide energy and mining at Microsoft Corporation where he spent over 5.5 years, and leads its end-to-end commercial strategy in the energy and mining industries. This aspect of Microsoft is responsible for moving data in their clients’ business into the cloud to deliver effective operational insights. He also oversees high impact growth initiatives and partnerships that support energy operators on their path to net zero.
Prior to joining Microsoft in 2017, Mr Airhiavbere spent nine years with GE Oil & Gas as a senior business development manager, business unit director, and director of commercial operations.
Mr Airhiavbere holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics (Honours), a Master of Arts in International Relations, and an Executive Master of Business Administration.
