Trevor Moody

Trevor Moody has a broad, global experience with over 25 years in growth-oriented medical technology markets. His career in medical technology has included roles in product development, marketing, management consulting and venture capital investing. Mr Moody has been instrumental in working with MH Carnegie & Co to build their healthcare portfolio. He has been directly involved in sourcing, negotiated and managing investments in high-growth medical device companies including Cardiac Dimensions (percutaneous mitral valve repair), Serene Medical (aesthetic medical devices), and Simplify Medical (cervical spinal disc replacement). In 2015, he also served as interim chief executive of Cardiac Dimensions. Mr Moody was a general partner at Frazier Healthcare Ventures, a leading healthcare venture capital and private equity investment firm with over $2billion under management. He co-led the Frazier medical device team and became known as an active and well-regarded investor with particular depth in medical devices. Prior to Frazier Healthcare, Mr Moody was a senior consultant at The Wilkerson Group. Trained as a Biomedical Engineer with an electrical focus, he held product development and product marketing roles at Telectronics Pacing Systems and Ventritex, both in the Cardiac Rhythm Management market. Mr Moody serves on the board of the Center for Infectious Disease Research, the largest independent non-profit research institute in the US focused on vaccines, therapeutics, and diagnostics for diseases of the developing world. He was chair from 2012 to 2014. He is also on the board of ElectroCore Medical, Serene Medical, Simplify Medical, and a board observer at Cardiac Dimensions. Mr Moody graduated from the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Masters of Science in Management (Sloan School).
