Thomas (Tom) Fontaine is a professional engineer with over 25 years of technical and commercial experience in the development and commercialisation of conventional and unconventional petroleum assets including startup, running and building resource companies.
In the mid 2000s, Mr Fontaine co-founded Pure Energy whose primary endeavour was to secure prospective coal bed methane acreage in Queensland and develop a resource. Pure Energy Resources was listed on the ASX and subsequently acquired by BG Group for approximately $1.0 billion in 2009.
Mr Fontaine was also a partner in petroleum engineering consulting company Focal Petroleum, and a founder and managing director of Bounty Oil & Gas.
