The new combined ASX entity known as Latitude 66 believes it has high-tech electromagnetic data that makes exploration at its flagship KSB gold-cobalt project in Finland as easy as “shooting fish in a barrel”. DiscovEx Resources' reverse takeover of Latitude 66 Cobalt has put together “a group of like-minded people” after the corporate transaction on the back of a $4 million capital raise.

Scoping study details revealed today on the Carnaby Resources-DiscovEx Resources copper-gold joint venture in Mount Isa shows the operation will deliver $491 million in free cash during the project's nine-year mine life. The study indicates that commercialisation of the project is viable by 2026 and also confirms that processing by a third party will be the best option.

DiscovEx Resources is on the cusp of a major transformation after its bid to snare Finland-based private Australian company Latitude 66 Cobalt was given a unanimous tick of approval from that firm's board of directors. Latitude owns several projects in Finland, with its most advanced project containing Europe's second-biggest undeveloped cobalt-gold resource that features 5800 tonnes of cobalt and 650,000 ounces of gold.

DiscovEx Resources will takeover a private company that has racked up a 650,000 ounce gold resource in Finland in addition to Europe's second largest undeveloped cobalt resource. It also has some stellar exploration hits including a 22m intersection grading 98 g/t gold. The Finnish turf is currently owned by Australian company Latitude 66 Cobalt, which the DiscovEx board proposes to acquire by way of an off- market takeover.

DiscovEx Resources has stretched its Hercules prospect to a whopping 7km of anomalous gold found in soil after a sampling program at its Edjudina project, about 200km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The extensional program completed north of the Hercules target produced multiple higher-tenor results within the broad anomalous zone, adding to several prospective targets already identified at the project.

DiscovEx Resources' joint venture partner Carnaby Resources has drilled a high-grade intercept of 4m running a grade of 7 per cent copper at their Greater Duchess copper-gold project in Queensland. The latest hit is included in a longer intercept from the Duchess Central Lode of 10m going 3.3 per cent copper and 0.1g/t gold, with the steeply-dipping mineralised structure remaining open at depth.

DiscovEx Resources says three reverse-circulation drillholes for 702m completed recently within its Sylvania project near Newman in Western Australia intersected banded iron mineralisation grading up to 48.2 per cent iron. The maiden drilling program was undertaken by Rio Tinto Exploration under the terms of DiscovEx's Sylvania iron ore option agreement with the company. The longest intercept was 88m going 34.5 per cent iron.

Gutsy copper-gold extensions have emerged at Queensland's Greater Duchess joint venture project – held by DiscovEx Resources and Carnaby Resources – following a new, seven-hole diamond drilling campaign. The JV says results associated with an “intensely strong” downhole EM conductor at its Chalcus lode were highlighted by an 87m hit going 2.3 per cent copper and 0.5g/t gold from 550m.

DiscovEx says that its joint venture partner Carnaby Resources has completed its maiden interim mineral resource for its Greater Duchess iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) project of 21.8 million tonnes just 70km southeast of Mt. Isa in Queensland. The Greater Duchess Project includes the “Southern Hub” tenements in the Mt. Isa Region of Queensland where DiscovEx holds a 17.5 per cent free-carried interest in 12 exploration permits for minerals.

A geophysical survey at DiscovEx Resources' Sylvania project near Newman in Western Australia has identified potential south-east extensions to two lodes within the previously defined 2.8-million-tonne Prairie Downs zinc-lead-silver resource. The survey was designed to test for potential sulphide mineralisation related to the Prairie Downs fault and also defined a target area centred about 10km north-west along strike of the resource at the Husky prospect.

DiscovEx Resources says it is cashed up to bolster exploration activities at its Sylvania and Edjudina projects in Western Australia after banking more than $250,000 from recent tenement and shares sales. The company says a geophysical survey will follow up on previous soil-sampling gold and lead hits at Sylvania in multiple areas of both disseminated and semi-massive sulphides along the Prairie Downs Faults Zone.

DiscovEx Resources has continued to build the prospectivity of its Sylvania project near the Western Australian town of Newman after its maiden soil-sampling program returned anomalies of up to 78ppb gold and 1315ppm lead, close to the mineralised Prairie Downs fault zone. The company says it is the first time the zone has been investigated for gold.

DiscovEx is hunting an “enigmatic” gold source at its Edjudina project north-east of Kalgoorlie after recent drilling assays confirmed bedrock gold at all three prospects tested and ratified the continuity of mineralisation at the transition between weathered and fresh rock. West Perth-based gold explorer DiscovEx Resources says assay results from its air-core drilling at the company's Spartan prospect at its Edjudina project in WA's Eastern Goldfields have confirmed bedrock gold mineralisation, generating three high-priority drill targets. The company believes it has also discovered significant gold within transported overburden and now plans to determine the connection between the bedrock and transported gold.

DiscovEx Resources' JV partner, Carnaby Resources continues to kick goals in Queensland announcing a suite of prominent precious and battery metal strikes at the duo's Greater Duchess project in the Mt Isa region. The campaign was headlined by a 6m parcel grading a sky-high 6.7 per cent copper and 1.2 grams per tonne gold from 77m at the emerging Burke & Wills discovery.

Gold explorer DiscovEx Resources has discovered multiple gold anomalies at its Sylvania project, 15km south-west of Newman in WA, after combing through its ground with a geochemical surface sampling program. Multiple trends above 15 parts per billion gold at the company's newly identified Contact prospect were delineated over a 2km strike length within prospective Archean greenstone rocks.

DiscovEx Resources has revealed a highly-encouraging gold in soil anomaly through geochemical sampling at its Edjudina project 250km northeast of Kalgoorlie, WA. The delineated zone exhibits more than 50ppb gold continuously for 1.3km with some results going as high as 100ppb. The company's newly-defined zone has been coined the Spartan prospect and sits within a broader 1.8km anomaly of 25ppb gold.

According to the company, its latest probe suggests the mineralised system boasts both grade and range given it was sunk over 120m from the initial discovery hole.

DiscovEx Resources is onto some early signs of gold at its Sylvania project, 13 kilometres from Newman in WA after 90 per cent of assays returned from its phase two infill sampling program revealed several “kilometre-scale” gold anomalies with peak results of up to 0.5 grams per tonne. The company says the anomalies are coincident with favourable geology and it is now gearing up to complete additional infill and regional sampling.
