Civmec has pushed back the deadline of its deal for Luerssen Australia by six months but will accelerate its efforts to integrate its shipbuilding operations while the acquisition is finalised.
Henderson-based Civmec has signed a deal to acquire Luerssen Australia, the shipbuilder contracted to make patrol vessels for the Royal Australian Navy.
Kim Beazley has taken up his first major role since recently finishing his four-year term as the state's governor, joining the board of shipbuilder Luerssen Australia.
