Chief Operating Officer / Leo Lithium

Tim Richards is a mining engineer with over 20 years of experience across the full range of asset development and operations including scoping and feasibility studies, site technical services, operations and mine management. He also has extensive mining experience in Australia and the expatriate environment across Papua New Guinea, Europe, Africa, and the Caucasus.

Prior to becoming the chief operating officer of Leo Lithium in January 2023, Mr Richards was the chief executive of Geopacific Resources from October 2020 to December 2022, and was the general manager of technical services and general manager of Simberi operations at St Barbara from 2013 to 2019.
