Thomas Tuchnya

Thomas Tuchyna is a trained radiation therapist and a medical physicist who was involved in setting up the Western Australian government cyclotron. He worked at the facility for 8 years, initially as the principal physicist, and subsequently as the administrator of all of the centre’s activities. He was also involved in the establishment of a cyclotron/radiopharmaceutical facility and a linear accelerator centre in Jakarta for the Mochtar Riady Comprehensive Cancer Centre. Mr Tuchyna later directed the establishment of a Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Western Australia. He is general manager of Cyclowest, WA's first private cyclotron.
