Sybil Veenman has over 20 years of mining industry experience, both as a public company director and a senior executive.
Ms Veenman is a director at Nasdaq-listed Royal Gold Inc, NYSE-listed IAMGOLD Corporation and Noront Resources; and a board member of the Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre in Toronto, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing youth services and support.
Ms Veenman was the senior vice president, general counsel and a member of the executive leadership team at Barrick Gold Corporation where she was responsible for overall management of legal affairs, extensively engaged in that company’s significant M&A and financing transactions, and involved in a wide range of operational, regulatory, political and social aspects of the mining business.
