Steve Wai joined Sterling Accountants in 2002 which later merged with another bookkeeping firm to become Carbon Group. He’s been with Carbon throughout the entire journey and has played a key role in the success and growth of the company's accounting division. These achievements have been recognised by multiple industry awards including 2017 SMSF & Accounting Awards Tax & Compliance Firm of the Year, and Multi-Service Firm of the Year. Mr Wai chose to become a partner of Carbon as he wanted to be in control of his own career and work alongside like-minded individuals who are aspiring to be the very best that they can be. With 16 years of experience in public practice, he specialises in SME and estate and tax planning. A standout achievement for Mr Wai was transitioning a client’s farm to the next generation while maximising the amount going into superannuation and minimising the income tax payable.
