Stephen Carstairs

Stephen Carstairs joined the Shire of Boyup Brook in 2014 and since becoming director of corporate services, he has focused on financial compliance matters generally, with some emphasis on financial sustainability and integrated planning processes for local government. Prior to that, Mr Carstairs was the executive manager of corporate services at the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes for 4 years. Since joining the local government sector in 1999, he has worked throughout the state including as finance manager at the Shire of Carnamah, corporate services contractor at the Shire of Wiluna, finance manager at the Town of Port Hedland, and corporate services manager at the Shire of Coolgardie. Mr Carstairs had also worked in the private sector and for agencies including The University of WA, Curtin University, Department of Agriculture and Food, and DPAW (formerly the Department of Conservation and Land Management).
