Stephen Burns is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience at C-suite or director level.
For many years, Mr Burns headed up Australia’s most innovative internet/telco with over 200 staff under management while still in his mid-30s. He launched Australia’s first specialist over-the-phone Registered Tax Agent ‘Mr Tax Refund’ in 2011, acquired ‘Pop Up Tax Shop’ which is a franchised national retail chain of tax shops in 2014, and launched a broad scale accounting practice 'Accountants Direct' in 2017.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce (Economics & Finance) from Griffith University, and a Master of Business from the University of Technology Sydney. He is an Australian Small Scale Offerings Board Accredited Advisor and a graduate member of the Institute of Company Directors.
