Sophie Ray is an experienced chair, non-executive director and business owner. She has spent two decades working in diverse sectors including professional services, agriculture, manufacturing, retail, hospitality & tourism, early childhood, social and welfare support.
Ms Ray also has experience in working with companies going through growth and transformation; companies with complex supply chains and geographical spreads; and companies in highly regulated sectors, with a mix of revenue generating and government funded programs. She has been involved in the governance of Registered Training Organisations and working with high schools, universities, and vocational training providers in regional areas to support young people into post school education, training and employment.
Ms Ray spent 15 years as a corporate lawyer at PwC in Australia & the UK. She is the chair of NAWO (National Association of Women in Operations), Peak Care Equipment, RSL NSW; non-executive director of Big Fat Smile Group; and owner of Silos Estate in Berry, New South Wales.
Ms Ray is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a graduate of Women on Boards' ASX program.
