Chief Development Officer / South32

Simon Collins has over 25 years of experience within the resources industry, and in senior leadership and business development roles.

Mr Collins has been the chief development officer of South32 since October 2018, having joined the company in May 2015 as the head of corporate development. Prior to South32, he spent over a decade at BHP where he provided leadership to the business development teams in Australia, Belgium, Singapore and the United Kingdom. He began his career in mine operations initially in Australia and then South Africa.

Mr Collins holds a Master of Business Administration from London Business School, and a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from the University of New South Wales.
