
Shirley Cowcher is the owner, director and visionary of IEA. Her expertise lies in systems analysis. With a graduate diploma in computing, Ms Cowcher develops and formulates user requirements for computerised library and records management systems, evaluation of software and database design. She has developed systems to support records management functions using text retrieval and database software and has conducted systems evaluations and testing of turnkey and in-house developed records management software. Ms Cowcher has conducted training, speaks at numerous functions and presented professional papers at conferences. She lectured on a part-time basis at the Curtin University School of Information and Library Studies in core units for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Records Management) degree. Ms Cowcher has been an external marker for records management units offered through both Edith Cowan University and Curtin University of Technology. She is a qualified trainer having successfully completed the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training, is an accredited TRIM Records Management Software and A.K.A Accredited Trainer, and the author of “F is For Filing”.
