Ross Thompson had a career in the British military where he achieved the rank of Army Captain. He then joined the corporate world in 2005, driving the development of leading professional services brands in Australia and internationally. Combining his business and leadership skills with a lifelong passion for sport, Mr Thompson was engaged by the Abu Dhabi Government in 2008 to manage the establishment of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management; a role that saw him contribute to the development of the multi-billion dollar Yas Marina Circuit and the first ever Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. A proven expert in high growth business-to-business consultancy development, Mr Thompson joined RPS in January 2017 following long-term appointments as group operations manager and emerging markets manager at ASX 200-listed engineering and environmental services firm, Cardno. He is a non-executive director of Queensland Rugby Union.
