Ross McCallum graduated in law at the University of Western Australia and was admitted as a lawyer in 1979. He has extensive experience in a broad range of areas in commercial and property law. For several years, Mr McCallum was a member of the committee that drafted the General Conditions for the Sale of Land. He has also been involved in drafting many standard form documents used in the commercial and property industry including the standard Offer and Acceptance, the "subject to finance clause", the business sale agreement and the commercial lease. As well as practising law, Mr McCallum has been a part-time lecturer in law, has written a text on Property Law, and published many seminar papers on a range of topics dealing mostly with commercial and property law. He was chair of the Western Australian Law Superannuation Fund, a president and life member of a popular sporting club, and actively participates in a number of other sporting clubs. Mr McCallum is also a licensed settlement agent.
