Rosemary Waldron-Hartfield has extensive experience in commonwealth compensation, public liability and industrial disease claims (including workers compensation claims arising from asbestos/dust/toxic chemical exposure). She managed numerous national test cases in the area of Commonwealth compensation which have included matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT) and the Federal Court of Australia. Ms Waldron -Hartfield has also managed numerous matters that have proceeded to hearing before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal including the matter of Lamont re Telstra Corporation in which her client was successful. She has continued to provide strategic claims advice with an emphasis on achieving early resolution of disputes. Ms Waldron-Hartfield is a very experienced negotiator who regularly represents clients in mediations in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and conciliations in the AAT. She has undertaken formal mediation training and has been accredited as a mediator. She has also trained other lawyers and clients in mediation and negotiation skills.
