Dr. New (BA, PhD) has 34 years‟ experience in research and development in the field of drug delivery and is a world-recognised expert in liposomes and author of seminal reference book “Liposomes - A Practical Approach” published by OUP. He was the first to demonstrate efficacy of liposomal amphotericin and coordinated the first Phase I/II trials of liposomal doxorubicin. During his career he devised three new systems for oral delivery of insulin, giving first positive human results ever observed in Type I diabetics.
