Roger Cressey

Roger Cressey joined Armour Energy in November 2011 as general manager of infrastructure and project development before becoming chief operating officer in 2014, acting chief executive from September 2016 and chief executive from September 2017. Prior to that, he was involved in the oil and gas industry for 20 years, mainly in project management roles involving the design, construction and commissioning of gas pipelines and processing plants, and also refinery upgrades. During that time, he worked on major projects for Chevron, Santos, Caltex ($320m), Origin and many others across Australia, PNG and Indonesia. Since joining Armour, Mr Cressey has been involved with operations management of its petroleum exploration activities and the management of the Kincora Project restart. His management responsibilities have involved corporate and operational functions as well as Native Title negotiations, Government and stakeholder liaison, contracts management for drilling, seismic surveys and other service providers.
