Robyn Owens
Professor Robyn Owens AM is the University of WA's Emeritus Professor and former deputy vice chancellor of research responsible for research policy development and general oversight of the university's research activities, postgraduate education, industry liaison, intellectual property and commercialisation.

Prof Owens has a Bachelor of Science with Honours from UWA, and a Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford - all in Mathematics. She worked at l'Université de Paris-Sud, Orsay, continuing research in mathematical analysis before returning to UWA as a research mathematician.

In 2023, Prof Owens was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to science in the fields of computer vision and mathematics.
