Rob Thompson has a long involvement with sport as a participant, volunteer coach and administrator.
His professional roles commenced at the WACA in 1988 following 12 years employment in education. After 15 years in various roles with the WACA (the last 6 as cricket manager), he joined a private community development consultancy in 2003 and focused on building communities in expanding metropolitan residential developments.
As an accredited coach, Mr Thompson had stints in coaching and administration in cricket and Australian football in both community and school environments.
