Richard Pavlik is a highly experienced Czech mining executive. He holds a Masters Degree in Mining Engineering from the Technical University of Ostrava in Czech Republic. He was chief
project manager and advisor to the chief executive of OKD, a major coal producer in the Czech Republic. Mr Pavlik has almost 30 years of relevant industry experience in the Czech Republic. He was a project analyst at Normandy Capital in Sydney, as part of a postgraduate programme from Swinburne University, and also held senior positions within OKD and New World Resources as chief engineer and as head of surveying and geology. Mr Pavlik was head of the supervisory board of NWR Karbonia, a Polish subsidiary of New World Resources (UK). He has an intimate knowledge of mining in the Czech Republic. In January 2017, Mr Pavlik became the general manager of Geomet s.r.o., a wholly-owned Czech subsidiary of European Metals, and was appointed to the board of European Metals in June 2017.
