Richard Longley
Trustee for Heritage / Fairbridge WA
Richard Longley is an architect with over 40 years of experience and has been involved with urban and remote projects in Australia and overseas. He was the heritage architect for the Mogumber Working Group, working with The Coalition of Peoples and the Aboriginal Lands Trust. He has also been architect for indigenous projects in Halls Creek, Fitzroy Crossing and Roebourne. Mr Longley has been a member of several strategic committees for state and local governments including the Major Stadia Taskforce and Victoria Quay Advisory Committee for the Western Australian Government, the Fremantle City Centre Strategic Sites Committee, and Urban Design Advisory Committee for the City of Fremantle. As director of Longley Architects International, he has won two Royal Australian Institute of Architects awards, an award for Excellence in Urban Design from the Urban Development Institute of Australia, and a City of Fremantle Heritage Award. Mr Longley has been assisting Fairbridge Village for a number of years, in his role as Honorary Heritage Architect.
