Originally an attorney, Richard Cottee spent the vast majority of his career in senior executive roles within the energy industry, including as chief executive of CS Energy, NRG Europe, Central Petroleum and Nexus Energy.
He was also the director of marketing and sales for Cyprus Amax, and was named managing director of England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and the Scandinavian and Norway regions for NRG Energy. Mr Cottee had worked with Santos Oil & Gas and was chief executive of CS Energy, a Queensland Government-owned electricity generator.
