Dr Rebekah Puls is a senior medical research professional with significant research achievements in the areas of HIV infection and treatment, immunology and infectious diseases. Several studies provided updates to international HIV treatment guidelines for the World Health Organisation, and one study resulted in a US Food and Drug Administration approval.
Dr Puls also has success in bringing multidisciplinary research groups together to expedite improvements in the delivery of clinical treatment and healthcare to the community.
She was appointed a board member of Perron Institute in September 2021 and will continue as executive officer of the H2Seq Initiative, a national virus genomics network to reduce the incidence and impact of HIV and hepatitis C in Australia.
Dr Puls holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and PhD from The University of Western Australia.
