Raylene Button is a Kariyarra woman and has lived in many communities and towns within the Pilbara region of Western Australia including Yandeyarra, Warralong, Strelley, Carlindie, Woodstock, and Port Hedland. She is a highly respected spokesperson for the Kariyarra people and was involved in establishing the Kariyarra Youth Education Program to teach leadership skills, culture & heritage knowledge, land management negotiation skills, and to encourage children to pursue their dreams.
