Rachael Whitworth began her career as a dancer with the West Australian Ballet. She worked with Buzz Dance Theatre for three years as a contemporary dancer, teacher and choreographer.
Between 1998 and 2000, Ms Whitworth was an independent dancer on numerous projects before diversifying her practice. She performed and collaborated with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre for nearly a decade.
Ms Whitworth was appointed head of programming at the Perth Festival in August 2021. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years at Performing Lines including as a producer, and over 6 years with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre as an associate producer during the lead up to the 20th UNIMA Congress and World Puppetry Festival.
Ms Whitworth holds a Graduate Diploma in Arts and Entertainment Management from Deakin University.
