Phil Wilson retired from legal practice in 2020 after a distinguished 46-year career in the law. He joined Keall Brinsden in 1974 and became a partner in 1979. During the next decade he twice served as managing partner. During his latter term as managing partner, the firm joined with Corrs Pavey Whiting & Byrne (Melbourne) and Mollison Litchfield (Adelaide) in 1989 to form the national legal firm Corrs Australian Solicitors, now Corrs Chambers Westgarth. Mr Wilson continued as a partner of Corrs from 1991 until the end of 2016. During that period, he sat on the national executive/board for around 15 years, and was also managing partner of the Perth office for part of that time. He remained a consultant to the firm for four years until his retirement.
His primary areas of practice were banking & finance, property/development and mining.
