Phil Greaney graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws, completed the College of Law Practical Legal Training Program, and was admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia in October 2010 while employed at a specialised boutique mining firm. He has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance with KAPLAN (formerly FINSIA). Mr Greaney joined Steinepreis Paganin in September 2011 and was appointed a partner in July 2018. He has a wide range of experience in general corporate and commercial matters including public and private mergers and acquisitions, takeovers and schemes of arrangement; capital raisings, IPOs and backdoor listings of mineral exploration, technology and biotechnology companies; Takeovers Panel matters; due diligence investigations and compliance issues, preparation of documents for shareholder meetings and corporate governance matters; drafting of mining and resources documents including joint venture agreements, farm-in agreements, mineral rights agreements, acquisition and disposal of mining assets, and independent solicitor’s reports.
