Aruma Resources has set the rods in motion at its flagship Salmon Gums gold project in WA's Eastern Goldfields as it looks to follow up previous bonanza hits of 5m running at 50.2 grams per tonne gold. The exploration program is designed to probe the extent of gold mineralisation at the company's Iris and Thistle prospects which sit along a 4km stretch of greenstone belt housing Pantoro's nearby 3.9 million tonne Scotia deposit averaging 3.6 g/t.

Aruma Resources has unleashed its drill rig for a maiden 26-hole RC program at the company's Melrose gold project in WA's Pilbara region as it looks to probe coincident geochemical and structural targets backed by historical gold hits. The first pass drill test will consist of about 3000m of drilling across the project's Gossan Hill prospect and is expected to take two weeks to complete.

Ahead of a first phase of RC drilling, mineral explorer Aruma Resources has completed a heritage survey at the company's Melrose gold project in WA's Pilbara region. The survey kicks off its initial exploration campaign at the project's Gossan Hill prospect, 5km north of the revered Paulsens gold mine near Pannawonica. The explorer plans to drill up to 50 of the permitted 200 RC holes in its maiden program, with drilling expected to reach depths of about 100m.

Aruma Resources hopes history repeats with a fresh diamond drilling program to add to its huge gold hits in March that reached 224 grams per tonne from the Salmon Gums gold project in WA's eastern Goldfields. Other eye-popping RC drill cores from its maiden program graded above 50 g/t and 83 g/t gold.

Aruma Resources has returned high-grade lithium and rubidium results from a surface rock chip sampling program at its fully owned Mt Deans lithium project in south-eastern WA. Results included high-grade lithium of up to 1.96 per cent lithium oxide and very high-grade rubidium of up to 1.42 per cent rubidium oxide. A total of 11 samples were taken along a 500m strike.

Mineral exploration company Aruma Resources has identified a high-grade lithium-rubidium pegmatite at Mount Deans near Norseman WA. Drill assays were up to 1.14 per cent lithium oxide and 1.05 per cent rubidium oxide and included 10m at 0.62 per cent lithium oxide with 0.57 per cent rubidium oxide. The high value of rubidium gives the project a multiple metal focus going forward.

Aruma Resources has tabled another lovely set of high-grade drill results including a one metre section grading a whopping 224 grams per tonne gold from just 44 metres downhole in maiden drilling at its Salmon Gums greenfields gold project 200 kilometres south of Kalgoorlie in WA. Other notable drill results include a 5m intersection going 50.2 g/t gold from 42m downhole with a 3m internal parcel coming in at 83 g/t gold.

Aruma Resources has racked up an intriguingly wide, shallow, albeit low grade gold intercept during first pass greenfields drilling at its Salmon Gums gold project approximately 200km south of Kalgoorlie in WA. The new target gave up 38 metres at 0.12 g/t gold from 23m downhole in a sparsely explored area just 30 kilometres along strike and in the same stratigraphy as Pantoro Limited's high grade Scotia gold project.

The Perth-based company says it plans to put down 12 RC holes for an aggregate drilling coverage of about 1,000m starting next month, following the recent completion of a requisite comprehensive flora and fauna survey.

Aruma Resources has sniffed out a trio of encouraging historical shallow gold hits from drilling carried out almost a quarter of a century ago at its Scotia South gold project about 60km south of Norseman in WA. The intercepts were 7m grading 2.71 g/t gold from 36m including 5m at 3.48 g/t, 3m going at 3.02 g/t from 9m and 1m at 5.6 g/t from 51m down-hole.

Aruma Resources is set to increase its tenement holdings at its Saltwater gold project in WA's Pilbara region. Its application for an adjoining exploration licence covers the “prospective” Spinifex dome structure north-west of the project's fertile Saltwater structure. The company's recent drilling at Saltwater points to what it suggests is a potential new gold camp analogous to Kalamazoo Resources' Mt Olympus gold deposit to the west.

Aruma Resources has unveiled plans to undertake a maiden round of RC drilling at its Mount Deans lithium project approximately 10 kilometres south of Norseman in WA. The Perth-based company says the project should benefit from its location close to road and rail infrastructure that provides easy access to the Port of Esperance. Mount Deans contains a “swarm” of 71 recognised pegmatites covering 4.5km by 1.5km.

Aruma Resources' maiden RC drilling campaign at its Saltwater gold project in WA's Pilbara region has returned a cluster of encouraging gold sniffs that the company says may be the makings of what it calls a “new gold camp”. According to Aruma, assay results received for 37 holes of the 40-hole program point to a possible 4km strike length and the discovery of a potential gold camp on a “ring structure” at the project.

Despite the current resources exploration boom, the company has managed to lock in drilling contractors to carry out the first phase of RC drilling totalling up to 5,000m.

Aruma Resources innovative approach to exploration is already paying dividends at its Melrose project on the southern margin of the Pilbara, with the explorer racing to peg two new tenements after identifying new zones of gold mineralisation in the region. The company's project surrounds Northern Star's revered Paulsen's gold mine, with Aruma hoping to unearth a similar company-making deposit.

Aruma Resources has built on its already enviable ground position at its Saltwater gold project on the southern margin of WA's emerging Pilbara goldfield. The company has added three new exploration licences to the project with its tenure now covering over 65km of highly prospective and under-explored stratigraphy. Exploration is expected to kick off in the coming weeks with drilling planned for later in 2020.
