Peter Kane

Peter Kane is a mining engineer with over 30 years of experience in the mining industry throughout Australia, New Zealand and Mongolia.

Prior to becoming chief operating officer of the QCoal Group in June 2016, Mr Kane was chief executive of Cockatoo Coal, group managing director of Guildford Coal, chief executive of Aston Resources and Boardwalk
Resources, executive general manager of projects at Whitehaven Coal, and chief operating officer of Macarthur Coal.

Mr Kane was also a joint venture chair for multiple operations with numerous joint venture partners.

He is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
