Peter joined Dwyer Durack's General Litigation Department in April 2010. After graduating from the University of Tasmania in 1995, Peter did his articles at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Tasmania) before moving to WA in 1997, He worked at Monaghan & Associates and Ilberys Lawyers prior to joining Dwyer Durack. Peters areas of interest include Criminal Law, Industrial Law and all aspects of Liquor Licensing. As a criminal lawyer Peter has regularly appeared before the Magistrates, District and Supreme Court in a wide range of matters including guilty pleas, jury trials, appeals against sentence and appeals against conviction. He is a member of the Criminal Law Association. Within the area of Liquor Licensing Peter's experience includes representing applicants for new licenses and existing licensees. He has extensive experience in applications for extended trading permits, objecting to new licenses and defending licensees who have been prosecuted by the police, received residential complaints or are the subject of disciplinary proceedings.
