MLC / Mining and Pastoral Region
Peter Foster was a councillor at the Shire of Ashburton from October 2011 to April 2021 prior to his appointment to the Western Australian Legislative Council as a Labor member for Mining and Pastoral Region at the 2021 state election.
He is an active member of the community, serving as chair of North Tom Price Primary School, Tom Price Senior High School, and Tom Price Youth Support Association. He also has extensive governance, leadership, public speaking and board experience.
Mr Foster has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Newcastle (NSW) majoring in Humanities.
