Nick Kalmund joined Hotchkin Hanly Lawyers as an articled clerk in 2011, was admitted to the profession in March 2012, and became senior associate in July 2015 and partner in July 2019. Mr Kalmund practices in commercial litigation, advising and representing clients on disputes in a wide range of areas including corporations, trade practices, financial services, planning and development, building and construction, minerals and resources, insolvency and leasing. He also has experience defending the accused in commercial prosecutions, including building and planning prosecutions. Mr Kalmund regularly appears as counsel in the Federal, Supreme and District Courts; and has represented parties in commercial arbitrations, and conducted litigation interstate. Prior to joining Hotchkin Hanly Lawyers, he was a paralegal in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions WA while completing his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts at Murdoch University.
