Ngaire Woods CBE is the founding Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government, Professor of Global Economic Governance, founder and director of the Global Economic Governance Programme at Oxford
University. She has been a Fellow of University College, Oxford for over 17 years, and has also been a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and the Central European University. As a recognised expert in public
policy, international development and governance, Ms Woods served as an advisor to the African Development Bank, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Centre for Global Development, the International Monetary Fund and the European Union. She has presented numerous documentaries for BBC Radio 4 and BBC TV2, and is an author and publisher of numerous articles on international institutions, globalisation, and governance. In 2018, Ms Woods was appointed Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to higher education and public policy.
